Key Specifications

Purpose: Heavyduty auger extensions are designed to provide added strength and durability for extending the reach of a Belltec hydraulic auger drive in more demanding drilling conditions (e.g., harder soils or heavier loads) — built with tubular/HD construction for greater ruggedness compared to standard fixed or variable extensions. Belltec refers to these as HD tubular extensions.
Coupler / Shaft Sizes:
– 2″ Hex HD Tubular Extension (female hex to male hex, heavywalled tubular construction).
Compatibility: Works with Belltec auger drives and similar drives that match the coupler shaft size (commonly 2″ hex, as most Belltec units use this standard), and with augers having a hollow coupler compatible with the extension type.
Lengths Available (HD): Typically offered in lengths similar to standard extensions 24″, 36″, 48″, 60″, 72″, 84″, 96″, 120″, and 144″
Coupler / Construction Features: Reinforced shaft wall thickness and tubular construction to better withstand torque and bending loads than standard extensions.
Interchangeability: HD tubular extensions are compatible with other Belltec and thirdparty auger drives as long as the coupler size matches (e.g., 2″ hex).
